Why Connect Stripe?

Your booking page works without Stripe — customers can book and choose "Pay at Door." But here's why most successful detailers connect Stripe:

💡 The Smart Way: Deposit + Cash

  • Collect a deposit (e.g., 25%) when customers book
  • Complete the service, release the remaining hold
  • Collect the rest in cash, Venmo, or however you prefer

Result: You're protected from no-shows (keep the deposit if they flake) AND you pay minimal processing fees since you only charge the deposit through Stripe.

Before You Start

Even if you already have a Stripe account, you'll create a new connected account specifically for Detaild. This keeps your bookings separate and easy to track.

Setup Steps

  1. Go to Profile → Payments & Payouts
  2. Tap Connect Stripe
  3. Review the payment flow explanation
  4. Tap Continue to Stripe
  5. Complete Stripe's verification:
    • Personal information
    • Business information
    • Bank account for payouts
  6. Return to Detaild

Verification Timeline

Stripe typically reviews accounts within 24-48 hours

  • Your status will show "Pending Review"
  • You can still set up your services and booking page
  • Online bookings will be enabled once approved

After Approval

Your Payments page will show:

  • Stripe Connected
  • Your connected account name
  • Payout schedule (every 2-5 business days)
  • Link to Stripe Dashboard

Troubleshooting

Verification taking longer than 48 hours?

Stripe may need additional documentation. Check your email for requests from Stripe, or log into the Stripe Dashboard directly.

Need to update your bank account?

Tap "Manage in Stripe Dashboard" from your Payments & Payouts screen to update your payout details.

Questions about a specific payout?

The Stripe Dashboard shows detailed transaction history and payout timing. You can access it from your Payments & Payouts screen.
